Great-Grandma got to come see the baby (who is now 9 months old), and has since gone home and passed on. We have an album full of pictures.

I don't blog much because I don't have much time, and stress is high. But here is an update for you.

That is all.

Hello and goodbye.

Deathly Hallows in a Nutshell...
08.23.07 (9:23 pm)   [edit]

...But first a message from Lord Moldywart himself.

(Voldemort's voice echoes through the night:)

Brave fighters of Hogwarts, I do not wish to spill blood that doesn't need to. Therefore I shall withdraw my Death Eaters for one hour. Potter, if you don't want more of your friends to die, I suggest you come out and face. I'll be in the Forbidden Forest.... No Lucius, I told you a Big Mac, hold the pickles. Does this look like they held the pickles? I don't care what the clerk says, they can damn well hold the bloody pickles! Pick them off? No, their juice will still be on the burger, mixed into the special sauce. Just go back and tell them to get the order right this time. What Yaxley? Still on? Oh. You have one hour, Potter! That is all.

 ...

See the full spiel here, and beware of spoilers. Duh.

Five Generations

How many people can say their great-grandmother met their children?  That would mean that "great-grandma" is actually a great-great-grandma.  That's very rare.  And here it is happening with me.  My great-grandmother is still alive - 87 years old, to be exact.  She lives in Puerto Rico and I live in Florida, but we're going to see if her health will permit her to fly over and see the baby.  We had a recent scare, we thought we were going to lose her to a nasty case of pneumonia, but she pulled through.  She's spunky as hell.  Wouldn't it be neat to see a picture with a great-great-grandmother, a great-grandmother, a grandmother, a mother, and a daughter?  Well, if and when I have that picture, I'll share it with you guys.  Hopefully great-grandma's health will allow her to come and see my girl.  :)
